PAI GOW POOKER'S HISTORY

 PAI GOW'S POKER HISTORY

Pai Gow Poker blends elements of both the Pai Gow Poker game and Poker. Pai Gow Poker has a 52 card deck, with one Joker. The Joker can be used as an Ace, Straight, or Flush. Pai Gow Poker consists of two distinct Poker hands, arranged according to traditional Poker rankings. Two Aces is the highest hand of two cards, while five Aces is the highest hand of five (four Aces plus a Joker).

PAI GOW Poker AT RESORTS WORLD

Resorts World offers Pai Gow Poker in its traditional format. All winning wagers earn a 5% Commission.

HOW TO PLAY PAI GOW POKER

Each Player will get a seven card hand. The players arrange their seven cards in two ways. One is a five-card hand, the other is a two-card hand. The five-card poker hand must always be higher than the two-card.

In the absence of an i-verify, a Dealer will shake a cup containing three dice and determine which Player will be dealt the first hand. The Dealer will begin counting counterclockwise starting at the Banker (number one) position and then proceed to deal seven hands, each containing seven cards, clockwise to each position.

A Player may ask that their hand be set according the "House Way", which refers to a predetermined method for setting the hands. The House Hand will be set by the Dealer according to the "House Way".

After all the Players have been dealt, the Dealer will expose his Banker's hand. The Dealer will determine the "House Way" Bank hand. Each Player's hand is then compared and bets are made.

PAI GOW Poker - OBJECT

Pai Gow Poker's object is to have each player arrange their cards into two separate hands that rank higher than those of the Banker. The five-card Hand must rank higher that the five-card Banker hand and the two card hand must rank higher then the Banker’s 2-card hand. It is a tie if one hand ranks exactly equal to the Banker's. Ties are called "Copies" and the Banker takes all copies.

Winning hands receive even money. Losing hands forfeit all money wagered. If one hand wins, but the other loses the bet, it's a "Push", or a stoppage.

SETTING THE HANDS

PLAYER HANDDS:

Each player will arrange his seven cards in order to form two hands. The players are responsible for setting their hands. They should be careful. The five-card poker hand must always have a higher poker rank than its two-card counterpart. Any hand that contains less or more than the required number or a two card hand set higher than the five cards will be fouled. A Supervisor must be notified. A Supervisor or Pit Manager will take a decision about a fouled hand.

Each Player will lay his two-card deck face down in "Second Highest", a square that is directly above and perpendicular the "High Hand". Each Player's five card hand will be placed face-down in the "High Hand” square.

Once a player has set their hand, they are forbidden from touching their cards. All cards must remain at the table and visible to the Dealer at any time.

HOUSE HAND

Once all players have set their hands, the Dealer will expose

Place the House Hand in its proper place. The House Hand will always follow the "House Way." The House Hand is placed parallel to the Bankroll Rack in decreasing order of value, from left to right. The five-card card hand will be placed at the rack's edge (approximately 1 inch). The two-card card hand will be placed parallel to the rack and in descending value order. Both hands should be aligned to the Bankroll Rack's left edge.

SETTING YOUR HANDS THE "HOUSEWAY":

A Player might request that their hand be set according "House Way", which refers to a predetermined method for setting the hands. In this instance, the Player will place his or her hand face down in "High Hand" territory. The Dealer will then cap the Player's cards by pressing the "House Way” button. The Dealer will cap the Player's cards with a "House Way" button. However, the player can change their mind at any time before the exposure of the Bank hand. Resorts World employees are not allowed to give any advice about how to set a particular hand. how to change poker hands on the internet
