HOW TO PLAY TEXAS HEOLD'EM POKEER

WHAT IS TEXAS HOLDEM POSER?

Before you visit the poker room, it is a good idea to familiarize yourself with the rules of Texas Holdem. Texas Hold'em can be played against other poker players. The game will feature seven cards, including two private hole cards, and five boards cards, which are placed in the middle of the table. The winner of the game is the player with the strongest five card hand.

BASIC RULES FOR TEXAS TEXAS HOLD'EM POKEER

As stated previously, the main goal of the game involves strategically using your hole cards and community card to make the best five-card poker hands.

Each player is given two private hole cards. Each player has three options after they have seen their cards: call, fold or raise. This initial wager is known as a "forced bet".

In the next betting round, five additional cards will be dealt face down on the poker tables. These cards are known collectively as "community cards", and any player can use them to get the best possible poker hand.

BETTING ROUNDS

The community cards in texas hold'em are dealt in three stages, "the flip", "the turn" or "the river".

The Flop: Once the hole cards are dealt, and the initial betting round has taken place, the dealer will turn over the first three community cards

The Turn: Once the second round has finished, and the flop is over, the dealer turns over the fourth card in the community. This is called the "turn".

The River: The fifth and final community card is placed by the dealer. The final round of betting is where players will again place their bets.

Keep in mind that board cards can be used as community cards. Players may use any five-card combination they choose from both their personal and board cards. There is no minimum number of personal cards you may use from your deck. One hole care, four community cards, or even board cards can be used by a player. This is known as "playing the board."

BETTING IN TEXAS - HOLD'EM POOKER

There is a button that acts as a dealer on the poker table. Each player chooses their turn to become the dealer. The dealer button will be moved counterclockwise after each hand.

The "small blind", also known as the player that begins the betting in every poker hand, is to the left side of the dealer.

A blind bet is made when players sit in clockwise order consecutively from the button. The first round of betting is initiated by the player immediately left of the player who placed the big blind. The next betting round begins with the player on the immediate left of the big blind. It then moves clockwise around to other players.

All subsequent betting rounds begin with the first active player clockwise of the button.

In all cases below 15-30, a bet is allowed with three raises. For those aged 15-30, a bet is allowed with three raises and a maximum of four raises.

Only two players remain so raises are not limited. There is no limit to the number of raises if there is any strange money.

If a player wins two consecutive pots, they must kill the next pot. A "kill button" is a marker that indicates which player won the previous pot. The marker is kept by the winner of the game until it's over.

If the player who holds the kill button wins another consecutive pot, and it qualifies for instantaneously, the poker player must kill that pot. For the first pot, or "leg" to qualify for a kill there is no minimum pot size. The player must win the second "leg" of a kill by winning at least 5x the large blind and flop. Texas Holdem - How to Play Cards
